Crime Victims' Memorial Luncheon
The North Carolina Victim Assistance Network (NCVAN) is once again preparing for our annual Luncheon on April 10, 2019 that raises funds for services to loved ones of homicide survivors/victims and others harmed by violent crime. These services include peer support groups across the state; free counseling; court accompaniment; advice on navigating the court system; assistance with victims' compensation; meal and parking reimbursement during trial; and much more.
Despite our current court system and laws, the truth is that surviving loved ones of homicide victims are disparately under-served in North Carolina. We know that the absence of services to this population contributes to unhealthy families and unhealthy communities across our great state.
